Swift Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Services — Delivery & Installation Policy

1. Scope

This Delivery & Installation Policy (“Policy”) outlines Swift Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Services’ (“Swift Air”) terms for the delivery, handling, and installation of air conditioning and refrigeration products supplied as part of a service contract or quotation.

By accepting a quotation or service agreement, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined below.

2. Delivery of Equipment

Swift Air will arrange for the delivery of all units, parts, and materials required for the installation.
Delivery dates are estimated and subject to supplier availability, logistics, and external conditions (such as weather, load shedding, or traffic delays).
Swift Air will not be held liable for delays beyond its control, including supplier shortages or courier delays.
The Customer will be notified in advance if delivery dates need to be adjusted.

3. Responsibility for Products

All equipment remains the property of Swift Air until full payment for the quoted amount has been received.
Risk and responsibility for the products pass to the Customer upon completion of installation or handover.
If equipment is delivered to site prior to installation, the Customer is responsible for ensuring it is stored securely and safely. Swift Air accepts no liability for loss, damage, or theft once equipment has been delivered and signed for.

4. Installation Conditions

Installation will take place at the Customer’s premises as per the approved quotation.
The Customer must ensure clear access to the installation area before the scheduled date (including electricity supply, wall access, ceiling access, and parking availability).
Any obstructions, delays, or access issues on-site that prevent or delay work may incur additional charges.
Swift Air technicians follow strict safety and quality standards. Customers may not request unsafe or non-compliant installation methods.

5. Completion & Handover

Once installation is completed, Swift Air will conduct a final test and inspection to ensure proper functionality.
The Customer will receive a handover or completion notice, which confirms that the installation has been completed as per quotation.
Any issues identified after handover will fall under the service and warranty terms and not as part of the initial installation unless otherwise agreed.

6. Returns & Exchanges

Swift Air does not accept returns or exchanges on installed air conditioning or refrigeration systems.
In cases of manufacturer defects, Swift Air will assist the Customer in facilitating a warranty claim with the manufacturer, subject to their policies and inspection requirements.

7. Failed Installations or Site Issues

If an installation cannot be completed due to site conditions, incorrect information, or third-party interference, Swift Air reserves the right to:

Charge a call-out or cancellation fee; and/or
Reschedule the installation once the issue is resolved, with potential additional labour or transport charges.

8. Liability

Swift Air is not responsible for:

Damages caused by existing electrical faults, structural issues, or plumbing conditions;
Delays caused by external suppliers, load shedding, or severe weather;
Any costs incurred by the Customer as a result of such delays or rescheduling.

Swift Air’s total liability under this Policy shall not exceed the value of the service provided.

9. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be handled in accordance with South African consumer and commercial law.

10. Acknowledgement

By accepting the quotation or proceeding with installation, the Customer confirms they have read and accepted this Delivery & Installation Policy in full.
